I love a list. It’s what people always say about me. They say, “Hey, you know Liah?” and the other person replies “Oh yeah, they love a list”. It’s true. I’ve seen it happen. It’s probably happening right now, somewhere in the world.
Today I’ve made a list of little reminders, especially as I near the end of my final academic semester before graduating in December.
The skies are big but so are you!!
Food is great. You love eating. You love having a body to feed.
Capitalism has poisoned your brain. Freeze. Do you want that or to do that because of capitalism? (Probably, yes)
A bad first draft is still a first draft and not no draft.
The sun is good! Go be in the sun! Do nothing in the sun!
Yes, that sad thing is very sad. Feel how sad it is, it’s okay.
Take it slow. But also move a little fast if you’re in your own way (or in the way of someone trying to catch the A)
Remember how much you loved your beanie baby collection? Yeah, they ruled.
You enjoyed your trip to the New England Aquarium regardless of the fact that you have begun having non stop nightmares about children chasing you with sticks inside of it.
It’s officially been three years since I started a rug that I haven’t finished. I have six unfinished oil paintings in my studio right now. I’m still learning to tattoo but I’ve missed a few days of practice. I have a philosophy paper due tomorrow. But it’s okay. I think I’ll take my roller skates out today and lace them up for the first time ever.
What’s Getting Me Through:
Watching through Detroiters with my partner. It’s so wholesome??? I love Sam and Tim’s friendship.
This Ends at Prom , a podcast that talks about movies aimed towards teen girls. Specifically, their Heathers episode. So fuckin’ good.
I’m rewatching Degrassi. (I know I can make it through)
Lifetime Movie Club, except for this movie specifically:
Oh no, the only things getting me through are tv and movie related. This is the end of semester vibe, folks.
